Fanore is an extensive sandy beach found near a small seaside village on the north west coast of county Clare. The area is very popular with walkers, surfers, tourists and is particularly interesting to botanists, owing to its location on the edge of the Burren – renowned for its unique flora and fauna. This popular long beach has an extensive sand dune system and is a popular swimming spot.

From Ballyvaughan take R477 westward for 12km. Nearest village is Ballyvaughan.

This beach is lifeguard patrolled. Fanore is also 1 of 9 geosites in the Burren Geopark.
